Faith In God Makes For Better Kids...

Mississippi State University did a study of more than 16,000 kids, most of them first-graders, to rate how much self control the kids had, how often they exhibited poor or unhappy behavior and how well they respected and worked with their peers.

Proverbs 22:6 “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

The researchers compared these scores to how frequently the children’s parents said they attended worship services, talked about religion with their child. The kids whose parents regularly attended religious services—especially when both parents did so frequently—and talked with their kids about religion have better self-control, social skills and approaches to learning than kids with non-religious parents.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

Why does religion have such a positive effect?

First, religious networks provide social support to parents, and this can improve their parenting skills. Children who are brought into such networks and hear parental messages reinforced by other adults may also take more to heart the messages that they get in the home.

Titus 2:3-5 “Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.”

Secondly, the types of values and norms that circulate in religious congregations tend to be self-sacrificing and pro-family. These are very, very important in shaping how parents relate to their kids, and then how children develop in response.

John 13:34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Third, religious organizations give parenting sacred meaning and significance, he said. They take the role as a parent on with religious fervor.

Ephesians 6:4 “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord”

Annette Mahoney, a psychologist at Bowling Green State University in Ohio said, “As for why religious organizations might provide more of a boost to family life than secular organizations designed to do the same thing, that’s still somewhat of a mystery.” Maybe to these psychologists it’s a mystery but we believers know the power of infusing faith into the heart of a child.

Psalms 144:15 “Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD.”

So what should you do?

  1. Take your God given responcibility to give spiritual training to your child seriously.

  2. Go to church regularly and find support and training to become better parents

  3. Take your child to church and have the message of faith you teach reinforced by others

  4. Talk to your child about God and build their faith

The Presidential Candidates on Abortion.

Partial Birth Abortion is when a baby late in the pregnancy is pulled out of the womb by the feet so it’s not completely born and thus cannot have the rights of a born child of the same age, and a needle is inserted into the head still in the womb and they suck its brains out while it wiggles and writhes in pain. It’s murder.

Below are pictures of partial birth abortion which the Supreme Court said that congress has the right to outlaw and the reactions of several presidential candidates.

Hillary Clinton calls outlawing the purposeful killing you see in the above picture an “erosion of our constitutional rights.

Barack Obama says “I strongly disagree with today’s Supreme Court ruling” which said it was not unconstitutional to outlaw what you see in the picture above.

When the Supreme Court let stand the ban on what you see in the picture above John Edwards said, “I could not disagree more strongly with today's Supreme Court decision.”

These candidates all keep saying that this law is unconstitutional because it makes no exception for women who's lives are in danger because of the pregnancy. (As if that makes any difference constitutionally) They neglect to point out, however, that this procedure is partial BIRTH and is actually more evasive and dangerous than a c-section birth, which would save the baby too. They never point out that at the age when partial birth abortion happens, the child is viable outside the womb with today’s technology.

If the woman’s life is in danger they could just as easily protect her life and the child’s life by performing a c-section so the child lives rather than just sucking it's brains out. Partial birth abortion is the wanton killing of wanted children for profit who could be quickly adopted and loved by other couples if the mother did not want to raise the child.

The reason the above candidates wanted the exception for cases that present a "danger" to the life of the mother is they know that abortion doctors who make that judgment call would be able to use that excuse on anyone in any circumstance and this barbaric practice which they hold up as a constitutional right would continue totally unabated.

The terrifying fact is that major presidential candidates such as Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards believe what you see below is a good thing, a woman’s right and should be legal....

Ezekiel 36:18 “So I poured out my wrath on them because they had shed blood in the land”

Should we vote for baby killers?

Praise God that the Supreme Court upheld the nationwide ban on the partial birth abortion procedure Wednesday, handing abortion opponents the long- awaited victory they expected from a more conservative bench. Too bad that is only 10% of abortions in the US. (Click here to read more.)

Now we just need judges who will ban the whole barbaric practice all together. When Bush narrowly won the presidency in 2000 and 2004, it turned the tide of the kind of judges on the bench. Thank God Bush won and put in men who would take a stand against this evil practice. We need more of them. If a pro-abortion president is elected in the next election it will put a stop to this trend. We cannot have another pro-abortion president. Christians must take a stand.

That is why I WILL NOT vote for Giuliani or other liberals who are pro-abortion. I don't care how strong they are on terrorism or how conservative they are on economics, I WILL NOT vote for a baby killer. God will not bless us as a nation no matter how many tax cuts we get nor how tough we are on terrorists if we keep killing our unborn children.

I will only vote for candidates who will take a stand against the killing of innocent children. Abortion is murder and I will never support it with my vote.

Why is Global Warming a big deal?

In 1975 Newsweek ran a front page cover warning of the dangers of global cooling. Click on the pic to see the article for yourself. They had scientists saying it was happening and charts of temperature history to prove it, but now they say it was all wrong. What if we had listened to them back then and enacted their enviromental policy changes? It would have ruined our ecconomy even more that what Jimmy Carter did to it. Thank goodness we didn't listen. It was all a lie. The seasons of this earth will continue till God puts an end to the earth himself.

What happened to global cooling? It turns out the psudeo-scientists Newsweek was quoting had a political agenda. They wanted to stop the industrial revolution and send us back to some sort of stone aged hippie utopia. But no one listened to their lies. So they flip flopped and made up a new lie. Will every one ignore Global warming too? I hope so. We better.

What's the Big Deal?

Global warming is a big deal because it's a lie. It's a big deal because it's used as justification for evil things. It's big deal because it doubts the Word of God's promise of the earths continual seasons. It's a big deal because it's used to push the lie that we are destroying the world because there are too many of us. Now leading enviromentalists are calling for the extermination of 1/5 of the world population. It's a big deal because it's used to justify murder via abortion. It's a big deal because it's used as a reason to not obey Gods command in Genesis 1:28 to "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it." It's used to promote socialistic and communistic ideas of priviate property. It's a big deal because it's the basis for counter productive ecconomic policy that would cause an ecconomic decline that would kill millions and cause social upheaval and wars. It's a big deal because it is used to justify taking away property use rights. It's a big deal because human life does hang in the balance.

Genesis 8:22 that "While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

Global Cooling News:

The temperature for April of 2007 was -0.3 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average. Is global warming on hold?

The Titanic Sinks Again

Oscar-winning director James Cameron of the move’s Terminator and Titanic prompted major criticism from both a leading Israeli archeologist involved in the original dig at the site as well as a wide range of historic scholars for the blatant lack of historical accuracy in his Discovery Channel documentary called The Lost Tomb of Jesus.

(see related Article for more info)

James Cameron's prominent scholars who were interviewed in a bitterly contested documentary that suggests that Jesus and his family members were buried in a nondescript ancient Jerusalem burial cave are all now backing away from their own conclusions. Cameron tried to terminate faith in Jesus but instead his erroneous documentary is sinking faster than the Titanic and his own scholars are abandoning ship.

Epigrapher Stephen Pfann of the University of the Holy Land in Jerusalem trashes Cameron’s documentary in his paper titled "Cracks in the Foundation: How the Lost Tomb of Jesus story is losing its scholarly support." It is the most conclusive summation of the over whelming scholarly ridicule by all related fields of study of Cameron's work. Most surprising is how even the scholars who were interviewed for and appeared in the film are now questioning its basic claims.

James Cameron is looking more like Geraldo at Al Capone's supposed vault than Indiana Jones.

Al Gore's Dreaming of a White Easter...

Al Gore is dreaming of a White Easter
just like the ones we still know
Where the tree tops glisten
and people don't have to listen
to hear global warming hype
because of record lows...

Al Gore's dreaming of a White Easter
with every new lie he writes
May your days be merry and bright
and may all your Easters be white....

Thought of the Day: Why do we keep calling the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead the name of a pagan goddess?
